Ladies and Gentleman...

It is nice to return to the original board that I joined near 7 years ago. Like all things in life, nothing is fixed and my life in the past few years has certainly had its share of peaks and valleys.

Ok i have found Forgotten Realms on-line character sheet generator. It is 3.5ed.
Many of stats are automatically useful for this forums character generation template.
In case that there isn't such link here I assume that this would be very nice op for new comers.

Ok I have a good question...

Is Flat-footed a condition that can only apply during the surprise round and first roll of init...

I have tried looking for reference on the subject...and it seems that there are times where you Dex is denied to AC but they did not call it Flat Footed...and any information you look up on Flatfooted in the PhB, etc (that I have found)...only deals with surprise round and first round of combat.

Unarmed Attacks

Two characters both in a fist fight...and both without improved unarmed fighting. Character A and B if you will.

Character A takes a swing at Character B. Character A provokes an attack of opportunity so Character B takes a swing, but since Character B does not have Improved Unarmed does he provoke an attack of opportunity? Is it a never ending provocation? Does this explain why they have been hurling insults for over 20 minutes because of some dwarven ale?

Community Conversion to 4E Discussion

The mods have been tossing around the looming question of conversion of the CORE Forgotten Realms board to the 4th Edition of the game.

Of the mods who have thus far weighed in, the consensus seems to be that if/when we do look at some sort of conversion, it would likely be a gradual approach, wherein mods who are so inclined - and if...

Legacy Weapons?

So, what is the current thought on Legacy weapons here in Core?
Do they exist in this campaign, and how likely/unlikely is it for a character to get one?

No, I'm not talking about powergaming here, but I seriously think it would be very cool to have a character with one, rping-wise, regardless of how powerful/weak it was.

I have written a background for a drow that fled the underdark during the silence of Lolth, but was taken as a slave by the people of Silverymoon. By deeds alone he was given very little leeway except that he was given access to their arcane school of mages. Where he excelled... It expands and has more from his escape from Underdark as well, but I understand first impressions will be harsh. But is there any chance of rping as a drow?

Modifying Starting Equipment

I was wondering if it would be possible to modify the starting equipment of an area by paying the modification cost?

ie: starting regional equipment offers a MW Composite Longbow, could you pay the additional 100 gp/per +1 str modifier to have the stronger draw put onto it?

I'm looking to rejoin the FR boards for some play, and it appears I need to convert my character.

The question I ask is now the point buy system has changed to 80 points 1-to-1 buy my character is quite outmatched, what is the policy on changing ability scores during the conversion?

I just recently got the Complete Mage, and I've seen these "Reserve feats." How do these work? As long as you have the prerequisite spell prepared, you can use the effect as much as you want?
